1. Who We Are
AINEXA Pty Ltd operates the AIKOBI app at www.aikobi.app. We are committed to protecting the privacy of children and their families worldwide.
2. COPPA Compliance
AIKOBI is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable privacy laws in the jurisdictions we serve, including Australia's Privacy Act 1988, and equivalent laws. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verifiable parental consent. All child profiles are created and controlled by a parent or guardian.
3. Information We Collect
From parents: email address, name, age, country of residence and payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store card details). From child profiles: first name, age, year level, and interests, all entered by the parent. Session data: subject, topic, accuracy, XP earned, duration. We never collect a child's full name, school name, address, phone number, or birth date.
4. No Voice or Audio Collection
AIKOBI does not use a microphone. AIKOBI does not record audio of any kind. AIKOBI does not use text-to-speech. All interaction is text only. No audio data is ever collected, stored, or transmitted.
5. Cookies & Website Use
Cookies are used for performance and login functionality.
6. How We Use Your Data
To provide and improve the AIKOBI learning experience and to process subscription payments via Stripe. We never use your data for advertising and we never sell it to third parties.
7. Data Retention Timeline
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Deleted accounts and their data are removed within 30 days.
8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries by our service providers.
9. AI & Data
AIKOBI uses Google Gemini for AI responses. Conversations are sent to the Gemini API for processing but are not used to train AI models. We do not store full conversation transcripts — only structured session summaries (subject, accuracy, XP). Note: AI conversations are routed through OpenRouter (openrouter.ai) before reaching Google Gemini.
10. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored in Supabase. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe.
11. Hosting Provider
Railway is our hosting infrastructure provider (they process all web traffic).
12. Your Rights
You can request a copy of your family's profile details at any time, update child profiles from the parent dashboard, or delete any child profile. Contact support@aikobi.app for any of these requests. Requests will be actioned within 45 days.
13. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update or change this Privacy Policy at any time. Any updates will be published on this page. By continuing to use AIKOBI after changes take effect, you acknowledge the updated Privacy Policy.
